Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Materials that are not available in the Mount Aloysius College Library collection can easily be requested from another library.

You should use interlibrary loan to request books that are not available in Mountlink AND that you are not able to obtain through E-ZBorrow.

Copies of periodical articles that are not available in the Mount Aloysius College Library may also be ordered through ILL. Check Journal Finder on the Library Databases page before submitting your request.

The Mount Aloysius College Library provides interlibrary loan access to the holdings of other libraries nationwide through a vast electronic network. This service is available to Mount Aloysius students, faculty and staff only. Although there is no charge for this service, costs levied by supplying libraries will be passed on to the person requesting an item. Every effort is made to obtain items from libraries that do not charge.

Most interlibrary loan requests are filled within a week to ten days although in individual cases the time could be longer. Plan ahead and place requests as soon as possible.

Interlibrary loan requests can be submitted either electronically or in hard copy. Request forms are available in the Library at both the Circulation and the Reference Desks and can be returned at each of these service points. Whichever format you use, it is a good idea to retain copies for your own records.

Please supply your GroupWise email address when filling out the form as this is how you will be notified that your materials have arrived. Items may be picked up at the Library Circulation Desk.
