     Excellent website with information about the Mass (Liturgy) of the Catholic Church, and reflections and teachings on each Sunday's scripture readings.

The Holy Father.  Vatican Web Site  
     Search here for Papal Encyclicals, letters, statements, and homilies on various subjects.  Search the text of the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the document of Vatican II.  Primary source for the beliefs and practices of Catholicism.   (in English)

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops  
     Source for information about the statements of the American Bishops, and access to the various departments of the Conference, such as Liturgy, Doctrine and Pastoral Practices, and Pro-Life Activities.

     This online version of The Catholic Encyclopedia is the outdated, 1908/1911 edition.

Use the latest edition (2002), The New Catholic Encyclopedia, available in the Reference collection, Call #BX841.N44.
