Infoplease - All the knowledge you need
This site includes the contents of the Information Please Almanacs, a dictionary, a biography database, and articles from the Columbia Encyclopedia. Each of these ready reference works can be searched separately. Searches can also be run in "All Infoplease" which includes additional access to an atlas, a thesaurus, feature articles, quizzes and timelines.
The online companion of the print almanac of same title, which was first published in 1792, contains information on sunrises, weather, astronomy, folklore, gardening, and more. Visitors to the site can register (free) in order to customize the page.
Sky Almanac at StarDate Online
StarDate is the public education and outreach arm of the University of Texas McDonald Observatory. The Sky Almanac provides a monthly overview of the night sky, including photographs of lunar phases.
