AT A GLANCE

Located in a modern 31,000 square-foot facility that was opened in 1995, the Mount Aloysius College Library is designed to serve the needs of the students, faculty, and staff with the most up-to-date print and electronic resources available. Noted for sustained, high-quality services and extensive resources, the Library supports the College's educational, research, and outreach missions.

SERVICES

The highly expert and customer-friendly library staff ensures the efficient retrieval, delivery and circulation of information resources. Other services include reference assistance, scheduled information literacy instruction, copyright support, course reserves and interlibrary loan.

COLLECTIONS

The Library offers a rich and varied collection of print, electronic, and other non-print materials that has been developed to support the curricula in all disciplines. Supplementing a book collection of around 100,000 items are 15,000 current print and electronic journals, providing current information for reading and research. The Library collection also includes a selection of videos, DVDs, audio recordings, microform holdings, and the equipment to access these special formats.

Specialized collections include the Ecumenical Studies Collection, a Juvenile-Juvenile Fiction collection and a Law Library.

ELECTRONIC RESOURCES

State-of-the-art electronic research and information resources include subscriptions to more than 30 databases, both general and discipline-specific. Trials are run during the academic year of new database that are under consideration.

NetLibrary is a collection of online electronic books, accessible through Mountlink.

Mountlink, the Library's online catalog, provides quick and concise information on publications held in the Library.
