The Learning Commons, located on the first floor of the library, is an energetic, open space environment intended to foster learning through collaboration and communication between students.
Unlike other “quiet” study areas located in the basement and on the library’s 2nd floor, the Learning Commons provide large group tables with easy Internet accessibility where students can gather to discuss and work on projects. A number of smaller tables, each with an Internet accessible computer for student use, are also available.
While the Learning Commons is intended to be as relaxed as possible, there are a few rules that need to be followed for the safety of, and courtesy to, others. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the Usage Guidelines.
Questions about the Learning Commons can be directed to Caressa Gearhart, Learning Commons Coordinator at 814-886-6561.
